Mossbarger joins OFBF board

John Mossbarger of Washington Court House has been elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will represent Farm Bureau members from Clinton, Fayette, Greene and Warren counties in the governance of the state's largest farm organization.

Mossbarger takes office following a special election by delegates of his Counties. He fills the seat formerly held by Bob Peterson of Sabina, who retired after 15 years on the OFBF board. Peterson also served as the organization's president during 2004 to 2009.

Mossbarger, along with his father and brother, own and operate Midland Acres, a Standard bred horse farm. He is also a large animal veterinarian. Mossbarger is a 10-year member of the Fayette County Farm Bureau and served as its president.

Mossbarger is a director of the United States Trotting Association, a director of the National Federation of Independent Business and formerly served as president for the Ohio Standard Breeders Association and Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association.

Mossbarger is a graduate of Ohio State University where he received his bachelor's and doctor of veterinary medicine degrees. He is a member of Grace Methodist Church. Mossbarger and his wife, Kyle, are the parents of two adult children and have two grandchildren.

Ohio Farm Bureau represents its members in public policy, public relations and issues management and provides members with multiple product and service benefits. Its mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
